X was a French jurist, poet and author. He has many publications to his credit such as ‘Political History of the United States’, ‘United States and France’  and ‘Memoirs of Franklin’. He is most well remembered however as the intellectual creator of the Statue of Liberty in the New York harbour and its lesser known twins in Paris, and Luxembourg Garden.

X was a New Zealand mountaineer and explorer. On 29 May 1953 at the age of 33, he and Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers known to scale the summit of Y. They were part of the ninth British expedition to Y, led by John Hunt. Moreover, X is famous for being the first man to have stood on both the poles(North and South) and on the summit of Y.
